Bulk Image Classfication¶
Bulk Image Classification is having bulk images and it is the task of identifying and categorizing images.
Newton Workbench provides a number of valuable features and settings to make Bulk Image Classification highly effective.

Create Project¶
On the Projects menu in left-side navigation pane, Click Create New Project
Enter a unique Project Name and a relevant Project Description
On the project type drop-down, select Bulk Image Classification and Click Next
Labels¶
Admin will set the labels for the project sothat Annotator/Reviewer will classify the images using these labels
These are the steps to enter label
Enable Labels
Enter Labels and Alias
Click Next
Advanced Settings¶
The Advance Settings section has some useful features which would drive the task workflow behaviour. Each setting is explained in detail below.
Note
Configuration in Advance settings will be applicable to only the selected project.
Following are the options available in the ‘Advance Settings’ section and each of these are explain in detail below.
Settings¶
Disable Quality Audit¶
If this option is unchecked, then tasks submitted by the annotator will be in Submitted for review state and has to be reviewed by the QC /Reviewer. If this option is checked, then there is no reviewer in the workflow. Upon submission by the annotator, the task will transition directly to Submitted state.
Annotators per task¶
Admin can set number of Annotators per task with respect to consensus mode
Consensus Mode¶
Admin has a choice to set project with Consensus mode or no consensus mode.
Consensus Threshold¶
Admin can set Consensus Threshold percentage
Min Annotators for consensus¶
Admin can set no.of min annotators for consensus
Number of items per bulk task¶
Admin can set number of items per bulk task and as per that items will be available to Annotators /Reviewers
This setting will help to calibrate number of images per bulk task that annotators/reviewers can process
Dataset Reference bookmark¶
Admin can create the dataset bookmark and set here.This hyperlink is available to the Annotators/Reviewers in Project
Project Metadata¶
Admin can set Project Metadata and it can be retrived in Manifest file.
Teams¶
In this section, it is required to specify the users who are going to collaborate and work on the project tasks.
Add Team member
Enter the user-name or email-id to filter in the text box. Select the desired user.
Choose the role as Annotator, Reviewer or Supervisor
Click Add Collaborator
Delete Team member
Click x symbol against the user you wish to remove from this project.
Click Yes to confirm and the user will get removed from the project.
Dataset¶
To see Details of Dataset click Dataset
Here Admin can add datasets with images.
Following are the different ways of adding datasets.
Admin can add
Single or more datasets in the same project
Single or multiple versions of dataset
Browsed dataset items through Global search
Browsed dataset items from dataset view
Browse tasks¶
This section will display a gallary view of tasks in the selected project.
This module helps to train the annotators
The mandatory thing for this module is that Golden dataset with Golden Project should be added in Dataset tab in Project
Create Project¶

Check the Training Project Checkbox for training/Qualification project

Training Mode¶
Admin can specify Badge Name
Training type¶
Admin can choose Training Mode as Training or Qualification
If Admin select Training Mode,Admin has to specify the Badge Name
If Admin select Qualification Mode,Admin has to specify the Badge Name,Badge Expiration,Succes Threshold
Admin can Upload SOP File and Training Manual using Upload SOP FIle and Upload Training Manual buttons.
